The Arian Heresy has terrible consequences that plague us today. The Visigoths were Arians, and when they swept across Europe, they settled in Spain, among other places. They oppressed the Jews who lived there, and when the Moorish Muslims had their eyes on Europe the Jews sided with the Muslims. By this time the Muslims realized that taxing Jews and Christians was more profitable than cutting off their heads. Dhimmitude was a tenuous, though rigorous existence.

The Jews, who were able to travel freely between Spain and North Africa, and acted as intelligence agents for the Moorish conqueror Jabal al Tariq, whose name lives on in Gibraltar.

With the “Reconquista” of 1492, the memories of Jewish perfidy resulted in expulsion and inquisitions. The Jews fled to Poland where they lived in relative peace until the 20th century. The Jews of the Warsaw ghetto formed the core of the Israeli army.

Spain has its problems, now that the Muslim umma claims “al Andalus” (Spain) as their rightful territory, and demonstrated their sincerity by bombing a railroad station.
